I wonder how long the long arms of Chicago might be :) Looks like we may be heading into another Clintonesque era.
 
The UAW's intransigence over the loan deal for automakers is nothing short of breathtaking. The entire industry is collapsing in part due to competition from oem's with much lower cost bases, and they won't agree to any hard concessions in wages or benefits, instead accusing the Republicans of killing the deal by insisting on arbitrary timelines. The UAW is a full partner with lackluster management and short-sighted government in the destruction of the U.S. automobile industry.
