I have questions.

You should. If she told the people who stopped that someone was coming to help her, who would that be? The police know because of cell records. If it was him and he did not find her would he or would he not report her missing? It was days later before the mom called so where was the person she called during this time?

The mom deserves an answer from someone.

This whole case is bizzare. Her last location was also the opposite side of Oswego lake of Allen road. At least that is what I read on Facebook. Perhaps she came down lost lane to sooy and then to lake Oswego. It was dark so maybe she hung to left instead of staying on lake Oswego. Wouldn’t take much to become disoriented and cold and lost.

Usually when police don’t release a lot of info or bits and pieces it’s for a reason. They likely have a good idea who it is and are waiting for other evidence to have the case. No body and no contact with victim makes any case tough though.

Good point I have to wonder she must not have felt in danger if she didn’t ask the person for help at all and was content on walking unless her boyfriend was supposed to be on his way. I’m sure they’re having a tough time compiling evidence for a strong case if they have someone in mind.

There is a news video where her mom says the person with the GoPro did not offer her any help. The mom viewed the video and claims that.

Until we see the video we can't really discuss what really went on.

I was just about to post the same thing. This article subject is a little "click baity" but the interview with the mother provides a couple interesting tidbits. As was mentioned earlier, according to the mother, the police (allegedly), led her to believe that the daughter was not going to return safely. (ie. they believed she was murdered and they might have known more than they were sharing). However, the GoPro video seems to change the potential narrative a bit. And, as Guy mentioned, the mother said that not only did her daughter not ask for any help, but the folks with the GoPro didn't offer. Which seems odd, given the circumstances.

Watch the video again and the mom actually says "they offer" and then she is cut off by the reporter and when she resumes she did not complete what she was saying. Then she says they DID NOT offer her anything.

A quick review suggests that it takes some adaptation to make a GoPro suitable for a "daily driver" dashcam (it's not easy to save specific footage from being overriden). My guess would be that the couple was using it to make "MY DRIVE TO THE JERSEY DEVIL" TikTok content or something so it wasn't overwritten by the next 3 weeks of commuting. (The car wasn't connected to the missing persons report until May, so they probably didn't turn it over until then.) Of course this has all been filtered through a journalism-mediated game of telephone, so who knows if it's even a GoPro in reality.

The police are playing this one pretty close to their chest; I concur with 66C10's remarks.

Sad. This is a nightmare for the family not knowing what happened. It’s like a painful wound that never heals.

This is a sad situation. I strongly suspect that the lack of information from law enforcement on this is due to an investigation. Several people on this forum have participated in a search and rescue in the past per the family’s request. (Not this case). It would seem that more community involvement would be advantageous in this situation, but we can only assume that those resources haven’t been requested for a reason.

Sure hope that some questions get answered for the family.

Just wanted to mention. I work for a branch of the government that gives me some insight into how situations somewhat similar this one are handled. There is a very clear line between privacy and public knowledge. If the public doesn’t need to know, they won’t know. To a large extent, I respect that logic. As long as it doesn’t endanger the public or work against the interests of the family affected by the event.

There is a very clear line between privacy and public knowledge. If the public doesn’t need to know, they won’t know. To a large extent, I respect that logic. As long as it doesn’t endanger the public or work against the interests of the family affected by the event.

I personally think it works against the interests of the family if they don't know who did this. If they believe the boyfriend did then I agree with them. The public in many instances is who may find her.

It has been mentioned earlier they are going to have more searches in the near future but I wonder where they are going to tell the people to search? Would that be where she was last noticed by the GoPro or somewhere in Lebanon? It is such a vast distance between the two locations she could be anywhere if she is in the woods.

I was just on that Lost Lane Rd area all the way thru it at Penn State. Forgot all about the case. But a portion of Lost Lane is filled with large dips. They were dry at the time when I drove thru w my truck twice. Maybe we all can get a search party going on? Like was said. The reward only lasts 90-days and only if you provide a 'direct lead' to the missing person. Anyone interested?

The go pro people said she was walking out so she more than likely made it to Chatsworth road or Sooy road. I suspect she is not near Lost Lane. Just my opinion which could be wrong obviously.

Hmm. I came in from Tuckerton Chatsworth > Chatsworth > Lost Ln > Stave Rd > Chatsworth > Red Rd. Private property seemingly everywhere. Did not go down Sooy Rd admist all of it though..

I don't know the exact spot she was stuck. Maybe she left on other roads but that could be anywhere without the police saying where she was spotted with the go pro.

My guess is most likely Lost Ln. Is where she got her car hydrolocked. Plenty of water holes. Kinda treacherous.
