Special thanks to Linda Stanton and Kathy Johnson for their kindness and time with helping me prepare my mothers paintings. Invitation is now open for anyone who is interested in getting first shot at these beautiful peices of pinelands art. All art work will be for sale at Sweetwater Casino on March 11th, book signing event. Only the three oil paintings will be kept exclusively for the Sweetwater event. At this time there will be a bidding. Whoever bids highest over the asking price will recieve the painting. These oil paintings are professionlly framed and are of "Harrisville papermill", "Chatsworth Hotel" and "Blueberry Packing House". These three paintings are seen in an article published by The Courier-Post in 1986, and ARTS of New Jersey which was Published four times a year by the New Jersey State council on the Arts. Feel free to contact me via email or phone.
Looking forward to seeing you all at Sweetwater!

Why does anyone need a special invitation? I thought it was open to the public. I have three photos of my mom's paintings posted on Barry's site, if anyone is interested in taking a peek. They are in an album titled, Margaret Bakely. Thank you.

I may be wrong on this. I think they want a count on how many people are staying for the diner afterwards, so an invitation is sent out to various people that is felt would be interested. The signing is open to anyone to just show up.

Book Signing

Got the mailer yesterday. Nice Letter and looks like a good program this year. I will be attending and do have a couple more books for signing.
Like as not, I will not be sending back the card for dinner. I am more interested in the event and have hopes of running into some NJPB members.
Hope to see someone.

Book Signing

Hi Everyone!!

Ok ...I am breaking out in a nervous sweat as I try to post for the first time... Yikes!!! It is worse than getting a tooth pulled!

The book signing is free and open to the public. Yeah!! 3:00- 4:30
This year an artists component has been added. The artists will be in the top part of the dining area from 12:30-4:30 selling their items. pottery..water colors...Bakely works of art...pine needle basketry and a demonstartion.

The dinner started out as a private one so that those who were there
last year or expressed interest had a chance to make dinner reservations.
That deadline is over and now the dinner is open to others too. It is $40 per person or $75 per couple. If any profit is realized it will go to the BCCI. The date is already reserved for next year. The profits, if any, will go to another of my favorite groups.

I hope I have not offended anyone by organizing the dinner the way that I did. I am still in the learning stages!!! Thanks!! Linda

Hello guys, make sure you introduce yourselves to me, since I will have no idea who you are. (but you will know me) I too will be attending the dinner. Looking forward to a very busy day. Bring lots of money and buy lots of paintings hahahaaha! Since I will be moving out of state soon I will take the remaining paintings with me. Also for sale will be the last few of the painted saws. There are now less the ten available. As for the big oil paintings, there are about five in all left.

Paintings going on Ebay

In about three weeks my pinelands paintings will be going up for sale on ebay. When they hit ebay the price will be going wayyyy up. So if anyone wants to grab the opportunity, now is the time. Pretty much the same prices now as at Sweetwater. Only one large round saw left, but paintings of various themes.
