Tomorrow's weather will bring out the best of you photo bugs. Ben has told me secretly that a $2,500,000 prize for the best snow scene to be published prior to 6 PM Sunday evening will be awarded. One caveat, the photo must be identifiable as originating within our pine barrens. This could mean that just the general feel of the photo seems to be from this area to the rest of us. A pine, cedar, scrub oak, or cedar water in the background should qualify. Certified statements should come with night shots; "I swear to God I took this in the Pines" should be good enuff.

I am going bunny hunting in Alloway today over dogs and I am hoping we get to see the snow before we are done.
I will make sure I have some pine trees in the background if I snap a few photos.
I could use $2.5 million right about now.

I went out with my friend Don to Lebanon today. The roads near the swamps were impassable because of broken trees. Otherwise it was virgin snow, real nice:

My freight train, Low range, 3rd gear:

An impassable swamp area by route 70. This road is normally no problem. It is a main road. We had to turn around:

Very nice Bob! it looks like a fun day. I guess you win the money. Pay up Ben :)

I'm very jealous! I was not able to get to the Pines as I had to work both yesterday and today on a very important project. Even though I was paid a special rate of $100.00 an hour(yeeeee haaaaa!) I was very tempted to not go in today. There is nothing like finding roads in the Pines with virgin snow. Well, except getting paid $100.00 an hour of course. :D
Bob, how deep was the snow out there. I had over a foot in Merchantville this morning at 7:30am.

:( I have a pet bunny. :(

Thats okay Ben. We used to have one too when the kids were little but that didn't stop me from hunting the native ones.
After all, dem's good eatin'.
We had a good day and the dogs were the best they have ever been.
The only disapointment was the lack of snow.
It rained from 11:30 until we left at 3:30.

Well i am posting after 6:00 p.m. so I guess I lose the money prize.
I will share my photos anyway.
We spent most of the day in the woods and these photos were taken right here in Pestletown on the bogs near my house.
The moonrise was beautiful.

Nice pics...I'm very very jealous... Spending today in the pines sure would have beaten plowing the parking lot at work today and dealing with the yuppies that felt it necessary to bring their kids to the rink and get in my way. I really wish I could show you video of one guy who found it a bit of a challenge to get into his SUV after I "plowed around it." Absolutely priceless.

Nice sunset Scott.

Steve, it felt like 10-12 inches. I forgot to measure it. I had a hard time in a field we went to because of the drift. I then stopped, put it in low, and started out in second gear. What a difference. That truck really pulls nice in second gear, low range.
