the first mushroom shot(the patech) looks like a too far gone patch of Honey Shrooms,a very good edible but too far gone.The single shroom looks like Amanita muscaria?

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to Fungi Al. I keep it that way for now!

That is a monument Al. See below; it marks a part of the Franklin Parker Preserve. And no, that stream is the north branch of the forked river where it goes under power lines.

Helonias is like a bottle rocket. The inflorescence is very brief and bright, but quick to fade. It's always disappointing to miss the big show.

Is that this year? if so, it is odd how some locations are so much more advanced than others. I was looking at them early yesterday morning along 206 and they were about an inch tall.

That was today. There's more just popping up too.

The place I visit usually has them about 100 yards from 206 along and in a road. Every year they are in about the same place. This year they are also much closer to 206 but they are all still small. So some locations just don't grow as well as others. And in this location many of them never fully develop for some reason.

On Saturday morning I went out at sunrise and roamed around the Apple Pie Hill area. The controlled burn in the Parker Preserve is starting to grow quickly.
