Before we get far into the new year, here are some photos from the second half of the 2017 exploring season. I covered a lot of ground, mainly on the West Wading river, with some excursions on the upper Oswego, Penn State Forest, and Hampton Furnace area. I'm really looking forward to the 2018 season.

Third picture down looks like a Robust Conehead.They are loud enough to give you a headache at close range.I found this out while tracking one down Bill was recording and when i stuck my head in the grass next to it instant headache.You can hear them as you drive by fields at high speed.

Al, I cannot blame you at all for thinking that; I've been to your dog beach, and it is very similar. But the one in that photo is across 563 up by the campground, here. You can drive to this one as well. My GPS and time of the photo tells me so.
