I bought my camera for macro shots of plants and will post them here. The auto feature of this camera is not as good as my previous one so I am learning how to use the manual settings. Hopefully, I will have some semi decent photo's this year. I also am going to make guesses as to what the plants are since I really am poor at remembering what everyone has told me over the years. Feel free to add your own.

I think this is early club moss.

Not a plant but it was along my route.

Sunrise on Route 70 in Manchester Township this morning.

Ran across this today at Fruitland. I will guess Frostweed (Helianthemum canadense).

Still have not figured this camera out. I am not fully happy with the results. They seems somewhat not clear.

I played with some settings tonight and turned off the face recognition, seek assist, and the auto zoom.

What brand and model camera Tee? Some cameras offer different methods of focusing, also check the distance for focusing.

I have to play around with it now that I changed the settings. Some of the features automatically zoom out when the camera shakes and other odd things. I turned them off tonight so I have to give it a try again.

Guy, regarding that Rose Pogonia, sometimes it's not just the flower that makes the photo, the background can be equally important and delightful. I like yours.

This photo may seem mundane; however, if you look closely you can see that a (small?)bulldozer went down it recently and scraped the top surface. The problem with that is the road itself is a prime spot for a rare plant. Will they return this year or in the future???

I am much happier with the way the camera works now that I turned off and on a few features that Canon has set from the factory. For one .... even in automatic mode when the macro is in effect the screen magnifier comes on now. That allows me to be more certain the photo is clear.

The Pickering's Morning Glory is now in bloom. If you know where to find it this week is the time to go. The Carranza Road location was fully in bloom but another location where I took my photo's only had one.

We were on 563 running down the road dodging cars to remove all of the turtles that were crossing. Many were crushed and we could not pass by without trying to save a large red belly and a few other turtles. Haines was dusting and I quickly was able to partially capture this.

Are there any other point and shoots that caught your eye? If it doesn't fit in my pocket it will not be with me.

You got the white flowers very well, detail, they are tough.
