Man, I'm sorry to have caused so much controversy with a simple question. It seems that just by simply mis-spelling a word, a new member was shot in the ego and retaliated and was returned fire on. Be it a question of knowledge or what have you, I would like to think we all joined this site for the same reasons not to attack one another. I myself posted a sarcastic remark in reply to WAMBA, but did not receive the rebut that "pope" did. I think we should all grow a little thicker skin and use this forum for what it's for and as far as basic knowledge, not everyone on this form or everyone that goes into the pine barrens for that matter knows every road or trail by it's god given name, granted some are obvious, but lets not brink upon the rediculous.
Hey obviously the humor in MY comment was missed, maybe I needed to add some LOL’s but I was not trying to attack your credibility just inform people of a more exact location of where we were vs. Broke Jeep Joe’s description. We were not as far down as Iron Pipe road as was my point in writing my post and I did not choose where the post went so I have no control over which forum it has been posted in. I did not wish to start a flame fest either.
I was referring to people new to the Pine Barrens not newbies to the site which I can see you are not a newbie to the Pine Barrens.
One, these dogs were not that close in proximity to the Hampton Furnace in either story but to make a point I described the area off of Hampton Road and then below High Crossing. Secondly they house minimum security prisoners at Ancora that are from Bayside State Prison and that are who I was referring to. The state uses a variety of dogs to track prisoners and is not going to wait for sunrise.
It is not that I am dissatisfied with your information concerning the FERAL dogs it is not information relevant to me because I do not do any hiking but I appreciate the information and thank you. Rabies can affect any animal.

You got my point as far as why I am here and as I said I can take a joke and appreciate humor. I can handle a joke just as most people can and don’t want to continue the flames nor seem so uptight.
