Monday Night

West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

The wind just picked up here in Forked River. It was like a switch. I had the dogs out and all was good. Then all of a sudden a huge gust and now it is windy here.

We just had one that made it to 22MPH. That actually is the highest we have had on our weather station that we know of.

I don't have a way to measure, but pretty sure the gusts are higher than 22 mph here, I would have guessed 40 mph. According the the NWS, it will start calming down around 3:00 PM
