It's hard to believe just how bad radar weather presentation is getting. I don't get it. This is the latest from NWS. It's like they are intentionally making it more vague with each upgrade.

Another example of low-contast designs, ugh. This started a number of years ago, I believe Google was the first to change to low-contrast maps. Very difficult to read, the small roads tend to vanish into the background. Tom Tom has a very nice app with maps of the whole world for a reasonable price. I would have bought it, but the small roads are almost invisible. Or look at the USGS National Map, really hard to read, in my new app the screen looks almost blank at times. I just don't get the whole thing.

I don’t know what the resolution details are, but I’ve been using the “My Radar” app on an IPhone and it works very well. The National Weather Service needs to get their money back. When you put it in motion, it often zooms in by itself and also goes back in time.
Quite a storm moved through here last night, woke me up about 2:00AM with thunder, lightning and pounding rain. Got around an inch of new rain during a short period.
