And since the Township ordered my office staff to stay home, I posted this on the door.

I walked out the door for a three mile walk at 6:15 and it was starting. On our walk it picked up enough to cover some ice along the curb and my wife slipped and fell hurting her shin. We shall see if it effected her knee.

Really just flurries here right now, snow is only starting to cover the ground but maybe two inches on my car. I think the ground is still warm enough to cause melting from the bottom. Yeah, the main part of the storm is down in Virginia right now but the day is young.... wouldn't want to hazard a guess of what will happen by the time it's over. :)

This is my back yard right now.

Just went out with my trusty yardstick and measured 3.5" of snow on my car and 4" on the ground. I wouldn't exactly call that a "blown" forecast, that warning I posted earlier in the thread was calling for 3 to 6 inches and we could get a little more overnight. But whatever... I'll never complain when we get less snow than expected. :)

Really coming down here now! Had been staring at the computer all evening and was surprised to look in the front yard!

These bands seem to carry a lot of snow and I'm in the crosshairs :D
Didn't get that here. Our cars have no snow on them after cleaning yesterday around 3PM.

4 inches during the day and 2 last night, so a total of 6 for me. Pretty accurate forecast here but the timing was probably a little different than predicted. That was always kind of loose though. At some point they said there could be heavy periods of snow in the evening with 1 inch falling per hour. That's what was happening in the photo I posted: we got two inches of snow in about two hours.

Seemed like the key all along was a question of how far North the storm would go. Guess it stayed a bit farther South than the earlier forecasts.
