The Aserdaten Tract Location

If you were walking north and not along the river, that is in the range of Mount and Jemima Mount. Mount has no rise but I remember hiking on the back side (west) of Jemima Mount and seeing fence posts and old wire. That sounds like a good area to explore and I think I will do it in cooler weather.

The question in my mind is why not just drive there if that is where they took him. He said one of them was not in great shape. I would think the location they wanted him to see was not near a road. Unless, they did not have a vehicle good enough to get there. Back then the roads were not as good as today.

Where we were, there wasn't even a firebreak, let alone a useable road. And chiggers! I really hate chiggers. The link you put up isn't working, but yes, the raised area sounds familiar.

Guy, that's a great post. I am no historian or guru, but where does Blacks stone fit into the Aserdaten tract? Was it there before the tract was purchased? The Aserdaten area to me is like a mystery wrapped in an enigma.

Wrangleboro, is it possible that the place you visited was Quaker bridge, Washington, or Mount?

I haven't been on here for 8-10 months, nor have i been in the pines due to my enduring studies. I finally found some time to log on and find that Guy has found the Aserdaten Tract. All i can say is wow, this is amazing Guy! I really cant wait to get back out to the pines again

I have determined that one of the stones I am looking for on the Blacks survey is on the Aserdaten line. If I find that stone it will be confirmation that my Aserdaten tract line is correct. Al and I will be checking into this soon.

Jersyman, what did you mean in the above post that you didn't realize it was lost?
