Pheasants in Stafford Forge. Two different days but in the same area.

The other, the one before the coffee cups, is a female Ringneck Pheasant, not a female Northern Bobwhite.
Actually the tree fell into another tree and got stuck. They came back and tried some more based on the fresh work I saw since, but now it is just stuck there.

I sometimes wonder whether they tend to their remarkable headdress the first thing every morning, in case of a photo-op.
And then the sliver of moon against rumpled clouds and the splendid bowed heaven-and-earth scene. I don't even want to know how you did it. Just let me sit and look ...

Good stuff Pancoast. Your photos are always first-rate. I like the cedar and sunshine reflection.
Maybe even my pants. Last weekend the briers ripped 4 holes in mine almost taking off my pant legs. I had to buy new pants.
