Yes.

Does that ladder seem upside down to you? I walked across it but had some concerns.

It is not the North Branch Cranberry Bogs but you are getting close :)

Since German is making headway on the bog photo I will not as of yet answer that. However, I believe the other one showing the foot bridge will not be guessed so I will tell you about that. It is located on a crossway of a bog that was owned by W. Arthur Reeves and is 16 acres in size. The bogs property which is on the west side of the road actually crosses ever so slightly over Pasadena or Savoy Road near Bullock. I went looking for that monument yesterday and found it between Pasadena Road and the JCRR tracks in the ditch.

The monument is located here.

I walked along the bog on the south side all the way up to the crossway where the foot bridge is. It had quite a bit of use it appears so there must be a trail to and from it to easily access it. Actually, there is a road from there leading to the much larger bog of Bill Poinsett and I suspect he uses it to check water flow. The scenic route along the bog that I took was quite nice.

The foot bridge location.

Where are these two separate places? They are not near each other. I suspect these are going to be very hard. Bob can't play but he can tell us if he thinks he has been there.

Guy, I don't think anyone will get the bog one, even me. But I will take a stab at it so you can tell us if I'm wrong. Is it here?

That is the North Branch Bogs that German mentioned. It is close but not there. I will tell where it is tonight if nobody guesses.

And we have a winner! Well done Jeff.

This is the Beaver Dam Cranberry Bogs and you can access that location from a blocked road on the BBB road. That would be here.

The walk is fairly easy until you get close to the bog. The briers close up somewhat but you can get through. The dike is out so you have to return the same way. However, there are trails through the brier along that road which goes around the north part of the property. You can easily get lost so a GPS would be handy.

BTW, a December 1933 map I have of the Beaver Dam Bogs and the surrounding watershed states this:

Area of Pole Bridge Branch Water Shed diverted to the Beaver Dam Reservoir = 5,260 Acres or 8.22 Sq. miles.

I think Jeff took me there one time about 8 years ago. We were looking for signs of a big snapper he saw upstream. We came in the back way, further east on 70. I think a doll head was nailed to a tree on the way in (?).

I'm thinking this is in the iron mountains near hampton gate but those rocks don't look like sandstone in the photo. But if this was taken in the pines....I've only seen sandstone that large.

Where was I at sunrise this morning? Should be an easy one for some. I had to stay out of woods for fear of getting shot.
