We were talking about building some more a few days ago. We also have wood duck boxes out around the reservoirs ;)

    Yes!

Extra points if you can give the range it's in within 1 mile either way.

Does anyone know how this boat came to rest at this location? I've been paddling by it for a very long time and have been asked that question myself more than once. I remember when it was in much better shape and certainly didn't look like anything one would navigate that river in. It seemed to be an old lifeboat from a larger ship.

Update: I was there the last two weekends and the water level is high. If the plants are to grow this spring at the Boardwalk there needs to be some serious removal at the dam. Someone has been keeping it open but it needs to be cleared under the water some more. I would do it but Jessica is all for the beavers so I don't stop anymore.

I think it is really the fact that she just thinks we are wasting our time trying to stop them. And so far she has been right.

I was kidding but I know the feeling. We actually held them in check for a bit but we had a dozer at our disposal. Eventually we lost

This war has been raging for at least 13 years and got very serious in 2005 ;) Fred hasn't been seen in recent years and may be held prisoner in a Beaver POW camp by the Pro-Beaver militia

Maybe a drain pipe arrangement Iused on the pond near Parker Preserve North Gate eight (1) keep water levels low for the plants and (2) prevent the beavers from re-building?
