Does it have a seam running down the side? That's how you can tell an "old" bottle from a "new." Maybe Ariadne or Scott can shed some light on how to age bottles.

No it isn't. I've been trying to make contact with the owner to get some info on it. He also posted a pic of a Jersy Devil paperweight made from what looks like the same glass, so I doubt it's of any value.

I would bet that is a new bottle blown down in Wheaton Village. They will occasionally produce a run of bottles if they are commissioned to do so. About 10 years ago, the National Federation of Bottle Collectors had their annual show in Cherry Hill and that organization had Wheaton blow a few hundred special bottles for them. My dad sat on the board of Wheaton for many years - I'll see if I can find out more.
