Yes, I remember that. Back to back storms in February that year. I was living as a winter resident in Seaside Park. We got 22" and then two weeks later 24". I remember going up on the boardwalk by the log flume at night with the blowing snow. It was surreal.I think that was often true. But in 1979, I was working in Atlantic City and the island got 42 inches. Snow was level with the trunk of our Chevy Impala and Atlantic City was shut down for almost 3 days. Philly and NJ suburbs got far less snow.
