    Swamp Monster

are there more of these old abandoned rigs out in the pines? I can remember being 4 or 5 (1994 or so) and going out there with my dad. I'd much like to visit this place before its gone to history.

can you camp anywhere in the pines?

I did a Batona Hike from start to end back in the beginning of March. I obtained camping permits for Lower Forge and Batona Camp, but I never even camped in either site. The first night we camped on a part of the trail a few miles before Quaker Bridge where its just a foot path and didn't see a...

What season is the most colorful on the rivers?

my favorite picture of the Mullica for any season is when there's a dead calm and the river reflects everything perfectly, I always wanted to go kayaking on a night when there's a full moon and just break the plane of the water.

    Hog Island burn

I don't know how I could have missed the control burn, I can practically swim to swim to Hog Island from my house. Unfortunately I feel that a battle with the Phrag's is a lost cause, if you dig down just a foot into the marsh there are roots thicker then a man's arm, and that's only a foot...

    Dirt bikes!

I ran into a bunch of motocross guys last weekend up by deep hollow road. Most of 'em were friendly and waved or nodded, but it seems like there's always one guy who's got to give them a bad name.

    MIKE ROWE in the pines!

if you want Mike Rowe try control burning, although I've never personally done, it does look pretty dirty to me. Perhaps you could find something to do in the marsh land, its pretty filthy out there.

    Scenic Status for Pinelands trail

I just read this article, and I have mixed emotions on the subject, I'm worried about the possibility of people looting from historic sites and a huge increase in fire hazards. About the meeting in EHC, where will this be held? the Police Station?

favorite spot to stargaze in the pines

one of my favorite places is trestle off of rider's switch, or just up the road from the trestle at that big open clearing where high crossing is. Another great spot is the end of seven bridge road in tuckerton.

Batona trail hike Bass River to Lebanon

Hello everyone I plan on hiking the Batona trail March 20th to the 22nd and I had a few questions that I need some help with. If I plan on hiking around 17 miles a day what would be opportune places to camp and will I need to obtain a camping permit for the trip?
