Dear Jesus, When Will They Stop ?

More Minion Propaganda  And still they showcase areas that have been closed off for years which they still can't protect. MAP plan= band aid on a gunshot wound. :bang:

    Let's Talk about the PPA

Unfortunately until the PPA and Rob open up any dialogue we are at odds apparently. All the while there's a pipeline threatening the total existence of the pines and the people that love them the most are divided with one side not willing to work together. I agree with you, I'm glad I'm not...

    Let's Talk about the PPA

Maggie, I wish I had a simple answer. If I did we wouldn't even be talking about it now. Individually we could only teach people we know directly as to what is appropriate behavior in the pines. Together as a group we could accomplish much more with our numbers. As Mike said there is no single...

    Goshen in Camden or Burlington?

I figured I'd revive this thread. I've seen Goshen Neck mentioned in several threads, especially the Locks Bridge thread. I think this deserves its own thread though. I've spent a lot of time around here and plan to explore more this fall and winter. I'd like to hear everyone's input since I...

    Severe Thunderstorm Watch

Oh boy, that's a tough question. It changes all the time. Today we made a rub of onion powder, garlic powder salt and pepper with a little sugar and chipotle. Cooked it over a very hot grill to get it about medium well with a nice crust. I've never noticed a gamey flavor but I'm sure it's...

    Severe Thunderstorm Watch

I beat the storms home. Got dinner on the grill just before the gust front came through and the pork chops came off as the rain came in. The storms were collapsing as they were coming through. We had a few rumbles of thunder and not much rain. I'm looking forward to the cooler temperatures, it...

    Lower Forge-High Crossing Road

I was thinking the same thing. It's been a while since I've been out To Mannis Duck Pond. I'd imagine it was simply that dry out. There were a lot of areas I saw out there that I haven't seen dry in almost a decade.

    Lower Forge-High Crossing Road

Unfortunately. I agree also. The park police also fall under the DEP so reporting it directly to them is still reporting it. There are many "party spots" out there. Reporting the active ones gives the park police areas to target, when they can. Personally I always have a box of trash bags on...

    Let's Talk about the PPA

    Lower Forge-High Crossing Road

I believe so. I know Mines Spung Road is open and I thought everything around Mannis Duck pond and Lower Forge was closed. A few weeks ago I was on Mines Spung and followed it out to Pushline Road. There was a tree down across the turn off to lower forge. I just thought it was closed and...

    Lower Forge-High Crossing Road

I was thinking it was included when they closed everything around 1/4 mile. Thanks for the clarification.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that road already closed to motor vehicles.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

I agree. All the stakeholders should attend one meeting with follow ups as needed. Breaking them up into groups is not to come up with a common plan it's to appease each group individually. And I could be wrong but I find little coming out of the November 5th meeting

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

So basically after these "stakeholder" meetings and public meeting they are simply going to say. "We've listened to your concerns and we're going to roll out the plan anyway". They'll probably list a few more roads to stay open. These meetings need to start with a clean slate and the...

    Colorful rocket launch tonight

I looked for it until 7:30. I didn't see anything, but I do have a lot of pine trees

    This is exciting

Welcome. The best advice I can give is follow what interests you to get started. That's the best part, as you get deeper into what you are interested in you wind up getting a deeper respect for something else and your love for the pines grows. Before you know it you'll be hooked on every...

    Where is this?

I'm almost positive that is an ariel shot of a fresh control burn. Notice they weren't hot along the plow lines but when all the perimeter fires met up in the center it got hot.
