    Front coming thru today

Still out here also. I m told that a crew will be out this evening. My street has everything underground but the line coming into it is above. They just cut the trees off of it yesterday. I'm at a loss as to why Christie hasn't called a state of emergency or natural disaster area at least. The...

    Post Apocalypse: Miller's Bog

Awesome pics Scott. My father took me fishing there all the time back in the 70's and 80's. I used to spend slot of time in that area between there and my family's orchards along Chew

My oil heater is original to the house. (1979) I need to update it either way. It's just perfect timing to convert. Either way I use little when I have the wood stove going. I ran out of wood this past winter but I think I might be ok this year:cool:

I agree. But it's kind of nice not hearing the raceway.

    Front coming thru today

The best part is that they just ran natural gas down my street 2 months ago and ran the meter to my house 2 weeks ago. The first thing we planned to switch over was the water heater since we don't need heat until at least September. I just didn't do it yet:bang:

I'm in the same boat. I told my wife that if it was still raining I was going to just wash outside because it would be warmer:)

    Front coming thru today

Atlantic City Electric is estimating power to be back on Saturday at noon here in Atco by the raceway. Gotta play maze craze to get to my house from Jackson rd. My cell phone didn't even work until 2:00 or so. I still feel lucky since I haven't lost much just amenities that I've taken for granted.

No power but fared pretty well. My moms and brothers houses both had the service pulled off the house and a large limb on top of her car. But everyone is safe. Hope everyone else is ok.

    High Crossing never disappoints

Ah. I kind of thought it might have been Hampton Road. I haven't been in the area since the work was started. I've been wanting to but every time I started out that way I would side tracked for one reason or another. BTW on days when I head out without the top or doors on the jeep like them I...

    High Crossing never disappoints

Is that the puddle south of high crossing. I've been meaning to head out there since they "fixed" it but haven't had a chance. I can see some work had been done.

    Atsion: Old and Renewed

Don, very nice job. Not only is it very accurate and detailed but the history on each building is great. BTW the red cedar frame looks great around it too.

    Atsion: Old and Renewed

I do a lot of driving and whenever I'm using the GPS its much easier for me to keep where I m going at the top and follow the turns. But when I zoom out I have make north up to understand where I'm at in relation to everything else. If I don't zoom out and set north and look at the map I could...

    Lock's Bridge

I've been following this thread also. Before I even found this forum this was one of my favorite places to go. I was even there this weekend and I've always wondered what was there. it reminds me of Goshen pond. And if you look at Google Earth it looks the same too. You can almost tell where...

    Aerial America

Just watched the show on the Smithsonian Channel. Basically its all footage from drones but gives a lot of history of NJ. It includes the pine barrens and has footage of Batsto. I think it comes back on Tuesday. I'm going to set my DVR

Penn Swamp Branch, a PBX Explore

My first impression was sap but I'm thinking I'm wrong. Either way I'm thinking I missed out on great time judging by all the great pics.

    Where is this?

Yes he learned a lesson that's for sure. Looking at the picture it looks like he was coming in fast and is sitting on the frame. I'm sure he did some more damage underneath if that's the case. He's lucky it's dry out that puddle could easily be over the hood and killed the engine too.

    Where is this?

I've got a lifted jeep and went around that hole. I'm pretty sure those logs were already in there too
