It looks like the road work is done. Looking south from the tracks. They are putting up the flag poles for the Carranza service tomorrow.

    Flowering Sundews

About a quarter mile from a big car trap. No rivers or swamps. Roughly here and quite dry. http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.75337033783311&lng=-74.6493412892151&z=16&type=nj1995&gpx=

    Flowering Sundews

It is not particularly wet there. When I drove by I was not 18 inches from them. I pass there often, so the next time I will post pictures of the area for context.

    Windows 10

The risk that a lot of my older programs won't work with it, besides, I don't see any benefit for me. Windows 7 is fine.

    Plants 2015

Are there any other point and shoots that caught your eye? If it doesn't fit in my pocket it will not be with me. You got the white flowers very well, detail, they are tough.

    High Crossing never disappoints

Yes, today at 11:30. No, he wasn't tied off. If I tried that with my TJ I would have been drug across the ground.

    High Crossing never disappoints

They just can't stay out of the puddles. At 1:42 you can hear the jeep owner say he had it in gear. It didn't start when he got it out, just made a loud banging.

Yes, the swimming beach was up at 206 in the SE corner. I remember swimming there in 1966.

    Atsion: Old and Renewed

Don, would you please post the whole map at a higher resolution? It is not of sufficient resolution for me to read. The map looks like a great piece of work. Once I saw 206 and Atsion Lake, all fell into place, just can't read it. Guy, Al, I always have my GPS set to north up, otherwise I...

    Lock's Bridge

What was the date of the Batsto complaint in post 87?

    Lock's Bridge

I think it maybe the dimension of time layered over the locations. The time between the Batsto complaint in post 87 and the original Estelle Mill. Also the use of the word "lock". A lock to me meant a way to raise or lower a boat between two different levels of water, but I got the impression...

    Another Tick Question

I think the experts are as confuses as the rest of us . Here is a fact sheet that supports what you have been told. I don't know who to believe. http://www.boxborough-ma.gov/sites/boxboroughma/files/file/file/deer_tick_ecology.pdf

    Lock's Bridge

I am following this closely Gabe, but am getting (have been) confused as to what lock, dam, forge, furnace was where. The fact that some seem to have had different names over time doesn't help. For the sake of this thread was Estell's lock-dam located here...

    Charles Kell, Atsion Cemetery

What is the location of that head stone, it looks new ? They probably were related, how many Kells in this area, especially at the turn of the century.
