    Jones Mill on Muskee Creek

I know there hasn't been one in 10 years. There have been a few on the high ground in recent years. Last big phrag fire was mid 80s. Maybe the 90s or early 2000s?

    Years Ago Today

My buddy was a Medford Lakes police officer at the time. He was driving a brand new Expedition the night the dams blew. He was by Flanagans gas station when the dam gave way behind the Settlers Inn. He saw this wall of water coming straight for him like an "Indian Jones" movie. He shifted...

    Bobwhite quail

Whibco is probably the 2nd largest landowner. "Whibco owns about 12 thousand acres of land and reserves in Cumberland County, New Jersey, including mine permits on 7 different sites in Maurice River Township alone."

    Cape May County Explorations

FWIW.... Found this on Wikipedia. Habitat and distribution "The native range extends from southeastern New Jersey south to Florida and west to Central Texas and southeastern Oklahoma, and also inland up the Mississippi River. Ancient bald cypress forests, with some trees more than 1,700 years...

    Where is this?

Very little to no dampness. I have seen those concrete structures before but it's been a long time. I always walk in from the trail on the other side. Can't say for certain if I would of figured it out.

    Where is this?

Yep. That's it! I never thought the ocean county chapter of the pine barren explorers would find that spot!

    Where is this?

OK....that's why I was confused. Hopefully, you found the old gravel pit on the otherside of the pond. It is was probably made with steam shovels when they built the railroad across the marsh. It is long, deep and narrow and completely taken back by nature. There is an old truck body back...

    A big tree

While you're working in Cape May, see if you can find a Pond Pine. I think there are a few at Bennett's bog but I wasn't ever positive.

    Ye Great Cedar Swamp

I have walked to the center of the swamp but never completely across. The large stand of cedar just north of your proposed route can be accessed from the sod farm. The Great Cedar Swamp is a fascinating place, especially north of Rt. 550 Oceanview-Woodbine Road. The cedar shingles for...

    Xfinity Cable Service Increase

I just did this. $102 for xfinity internet and $45 for Sling Blue. Pretty happy so far. Got all the local channels except CBS 3. Lost Netflix, Peacock and home phone number. Saving about $70. Even if I buy Netflix separately I still will save tons of money. Do it!

New Car or Nearly New Car

My Super White Tacoma keeps shedding paint around the window frames. They recalled 2016 and up models but not my 2015 made at the same plant in Mexico. I couldn't sell mine if I wanted to.

New Car or Nearly New Car

I just rented a brand new Camry. I really liked it. Not sure if it had a V6. On the Toyota website you can search dealers up to 500 miles away for the Camry you want. Just keep calling dealers until you get a fair price and either go get it or have it shipped.
