    Xfinity Cable Service Increase

Yes, I could ditch the tv part like Guy did, but that will still leave me having to buy another service to get the phillies and cable news. I have a smart tv, so I would not need one of those sticks like Roku(?) or whatever.

    Xfinity Cable Service Increase

I have no other option here, maybe because here the utilities are underground and someone like Verizon does not want to fool with that? I'm not getting alternate offers at all. I'm a Phillies and Cable news fan, and still reluctant to give that up. Everyone wants a piece of you, right...

    Xfinity Cable Service Increase

In December of 2023, their service was increased by 7%. In December of 2024, my bill was again increased, this time by 9.7% I have a couple questions. I'd like some feedback if I'm wrong. There is something rotten in the way they are doing this. They must have submitted a big increase of 17%...

    Snow coming next week?

I suppose I was wrong about any radar system in Mount Holly.

    Pine Barren History Shorts

That sounds fishy, or at the very least, downright foolish.

    Snow coming next week?

No thanks Boyd. I'm not that interested. I was only wondering if that was Whiting. I never knew, I thought it was still Mount Holly.

    Snow coming next week?

That's interesting the one in Delaware. Funny they would not care about the trees right next to it. It's very well hidden. I used to drive 113 a lot going to Newport News.

    Snow coming next week?

Possible. This is just south of 70 in the same area.

    Snow coming next week?

Boyd, I wonder if you have previously considered talking to Ben about making a New Forum titled "Local Weather". Maybe put one rarely used in the background to make space? I wanted to post the radar image below and comment on it, but I had a hard time remembering where the weather threads went...

    Nationwide Public Lands Interactive Map

Oh yeah, that works quite well. State does not have that.

    Nationwide Public Lands Interactive Map

That is interesting Al. It's a good starting point though, as it gives the ownership when clicked on (at least on the ones I clicked on, maybe only federal). This one from the state is similar, and you can flip it to see the property borders...

The History of the Pinelands Protection Movement

I've seen similar work, but I don't recall that one. Is there a date on the document you posted? I'm throwing out a wild guess: 1967?

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

Ugh. And every time someone wants to park to walk to a place they used to drive to, there will be no parking spot. In the Forked River Mountain county park, right now they are negotiating for a snake study before being allowed to make a parking spot right next to Lacey Road.

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

You have made a good point, but it may not be just the town council making loose decisions. I heard through the grapevine, that after the petition was read by the DEP, they discussed the issue with Hammonton. Nobody knows what that conversation was like, but if it was as easy as the DEP attorney...

NJ Establishes Nonprofit Parks and Open Space Foundation

I don't see any good coming from this, I really don't. Why would the state ever do this. It's a bad idea in my opinion. Imagine Audubon or NJCF or PPA on the board: 'close this here spot during bird season, or snake season, and oh yes, no more beaver trapping permits, cause they are our dear...

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

We can stare at and try to analyze these maps all damn day, but there will no way greater to absorb and mourn the impact than to drive the so-called legal routes and see all the side roads lost to us. Until my dying day I will resent the Pinelands Preservation Alliance and New Jersey...

NJ bag ban causing more plastic use

I still use cloth bags I had in my car from 4 years ago. That article is bull. And if people are throwing them (bags supermarkets sell) away, or complaining about them, then go soak your heads, cause you are contributing to the problem. And by the way, those bags they sell now don't end up...
