NJ bag ban causing more plastic use

Tell your friend yeah, I can believe it. :p I had a guy younger than me at work on my team who was a thorn in my side at all the meetings. When he had a point to make, and thought he was right (which was always), he'd say: "You NEED to understand what I'm telling you. He always emphasized the...

NJ bag ban causing more plastic use

A couple months ago I got a meatball sandwich at Wawa. The guy hands it to me, and I thank him. He says: "sure Pop". I was devastated.

NJ bag ban causing more plastic use

Are you serious, he said that? Was it in jest because you know him, or are you just joking.

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

That won't fly, local cops should not have that kind of duty. I've always argued the the DMV needs to build an elite force as part of their agency. A force with the ability to go on any state or federal land in the state to stop the nonsense. Charge another dollar on each registration and...

    Raised trail?

I woke up around 3 am last night. So after I get back in bed and after 30 minutes of lying there, drifting off, a thought on this mystery entered my head. I was thinking about how straight that line is, and how low the mound is (what, maybe 18" to 24"?). It was then that the thought came to me...

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

By the way, and I don't know how this happens, but it also happens in Ben's historical maps; if you want to really zoom in, "right click on the map and choose open image in new tab". Suddenly it's zoomed in properly on the new tab (for those who don't know).

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

Yes, in our days we could go across that small bridge and head to Atsion or downstream to cross Constable Bridge. And yeah, the holes are deep and scary, but they have a hard bottom.

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

I drove most of this road last year. It's open and well-used. I wonder if farmers had any say in whether they wanted some of the closures?

That's comprehensive, well done. This missing link below has quite an impact, and there are others. I wonder if the yellow can be a color that has more contrast. It blends too well into the map colors.

Resistance Grows to the New Plan to Close 200 Miles of Roads in Wharton State Forest

Ah, the West Mill Road question. A thoughtful strategy along with concentrated and sustained pressure must be used to resolve that issue.

Resistance Grows to the New Plan to Close 200 Miles of Roads in Wharton State Forest

I honestly have never seen a quad in Wharton, but I only got over there about 4 or 5 times a year.

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

Yes, and I do recall that many agreed if they used the topo maps from the 1997 era, we'd stand by it, because at that time we were just trying to stop the bleeding. Do you remember this on the front page article? NJPineBarrens.com and Open Trails NJ are taking the position that: We support...

DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

I'm not sure of that yet Ben. I don't recall the Superintendant trotting out a topo and saying; "you can only drive on these roads". I think, even if it was not a topo, that there was something else. I could be wrong, but I'm not convinced yet.
