They devastated (sterilized) the land from the Skit bridge to the tracks and from Carranza Road to the far side of the tracks. Goodbye turtles and snakes . The berry bushes will grow back but no fruit this year. No food.
I walked through Hopewell Anthracite Furnace in 2012. Located in French Creek State Park, it has a preserved village around it. It is well worth the trip.

Here's one with me and my pretty girl Katie in 1994. WE were accompanying 6th and 7th graders on a pinelands study hike from Quaker Bridge to Batsto. If they hiked the entire trail they got a T shirt. Katie got to eat a lot of sandwiches that day.
