Yes, poor choice of words. What I meant was the refurbishing of the track ended at Mt. Misery. When I was last there, some work on the other side of Misery rd towards Claytons was geing do edit: After re-reading Boyd's link, the Hudson tunnel being cancelled, thus no need for Clayton to rr the...

    Oops

Yes, poor choice of words. What I meant was the refurbishing of the tracks ended at Mt. Misery rd. When I was last there, some work on the other side of Misery rd towards Claytons was underway replacing ties and clearing brush. Was that work ever completed to Claytons? I know a new bridge over...

    Oops

I haven't been that way for maybe 2+ years. The road was repaved? The trucks flew on the old road! I guess the RR still ends at Mt. Misery rd? Will it ever be extended to Claytons?

I know that curve by the tree farm and horse ranch. It is deceiving and you don't realize how sharp it is until your in it. I've been on that road during the week when Claytons is in operation and yes those trucks hall ass full and empty. I admit to doing 55-60 on the straights and quite often I...

Stone Searching... Fall, Winter, Spring 2018/2019

With the road being plowed I can't imagine a property stone surviving, however it is strange that a stone that size is even on the road. Is it near any property corner? Maybe it was at one time and is now where it got deposited?

    Where is this?

The shoddy construction appears to be withstanding the test of time with no adverse affects. However this doesn't tell us where the building is located. LOL

    You never know...

Have to wonder if died of natural causes or was tossed back when a larger one was caught? The tuna fishery is strictly regulated similar to fluke but worse.

What are the odds of a fire break hitting a property marker or is it possible it was planned to mark the property line? It looks fairly new.

    Red Foxes

I realize at that instant your as scared as the tree rat but fortunately the rat is only interested in escape unless you find one out for revenge for scaring the crap out of him, LOL.

    Red Foxes

Your dad got bit because he had the squirrel trapped under his boot. You and 46'er didn't have the squirrel trapped where it still had an avenue of escape which is really all the squirrel wanted. Debatable, good thing squirrels aren't revengeful. LOL

    Same tree different light

Beautiful shots as always. I like the last shot the best, seems to capture more detail and focus with the background. I like the sky in the first shot though.

Stone Searching... Fall, Winter, Spring 2018/2019

There was a pucker factor for both parties I'm sure. Yes the bikes were on the wrong side. If your a bike rider you may understand why but that doesn't make it right. I have the pucker factor on every blind turn and purposely slow down while on the correct side of the road in turns. I've almost...

    Pine Barren History Shorts

Thanks, nice find. This estimate is nearing 9 years old!! No wonder why the fuel tax is spiraling out of control.

    Warren Grove Fire Area Revisited

The effort put in some of those deer stands!! Is that a chair in the first stand? Complete with carpet. The size of these things, for one person?

I wonder how much it would be today if the route was even Pinelands approved?

Take a Look at How Quickly a Forest Can Recover From Fire

Good story, however I only see one set of photo's depicting the same spot. Teegate does a much better job of documentation. LOL

    The glow is gone...

What killed the plans to build a natural gas plant, environmental "carbon footprint"? With no plans of any future power generation there, I wonder if the plans include removing the high tension towers? There's a lot of acreage on both sides of rt 9. I imagine the old farm will become open space...

    Forked River Mountains

I don't know how long they owned it either. A couple years ago I seen the posted signs, a sportsman club game preserve [forget name]. Doing research brought up Brunetti and his development co. Looking at the tax map I was taken back on just how much land he owned. Wondering if he owned it prior...

    Forked River Mountains

Looking at some past purchases I doubt they'll spend $$ on road maintenance and some road closures are certainly a strong possibility. It's better that OC bought the land in place of some other entities. In reality the past owner did no harm considering it's a construction development co.
