    Upper River Campground Closes

    i was there after the last flood (before Irene). they lost so much soil on 50% of the camp sites. tree roots were showing everywhere. never got to camp there. it's a nice place to bike and kayak the canal. i hope they keep the building open.

    they are a very colorful family. why would i remember after 100's of jobs in that area LOL. i do remember them being very Christian and praying over a worker when he fell. very nice people.

    there was a family named Sparks. they lived behind Laurel Lake near Port Norris. they had a relative that burrowed under their home and lived there. they also had a cannon made out of a drive shaft. and they played a great banjo.
