i was there after the last flood (before Irene). they lost so much soil on 50% of the camp sites. tree roots were showing everywhere. never got to camp there. it's a nice place to bike and kayak the canal. i hope they keep the building open.
i love seeing them, but i'm never sure what i'm looking at. do we have beavers and otters? do otters build dams? can they survive in the same large pond?
15 people first nite and with the nice weather 40+ on Saturday. the hike to Hampton Furnace was fun.

we had a great time hammocking last year. again we will be hiking to Apple Pie Mountain. We call it a mountain to get the out of staters to bring their climbing gear. :)

i did grant work in the late 80's for Downe Township. the building inspector was Wilburt Gould. on the Spark's house we put a roof, windows, doors and heater in . the kids lived in trailers around property. the oldest boy had had a shotgun accident and had a plate in his head. his wife looked...
there was a family named Sparks. they lived behind Laurel Lake near Port Norris. they had a relative that burrowed under their home and lived there. they also had a cannon made out of a drive shaft. and they played a great banjo.
it was a nice Christmas. Santa delivered a puppy to his niece :)
