    To summerize Guineas are very effective for ticks but they are noisey and dirty. My neighbor had them and when I drove down his driveway he shouted " It's OK to run over them!". When they died he did not replace them.

    I am traveling roads I haven't been down in a year or more. It is dry from Hampton Parh to High Crossing, Mines Spung Road, East Stokes Road south of Hampton Road. The only significant puddels I am seeing are at High Crossing but they are shrinking.

    If you were walking north and not along the river, that is in the range of Mount and Jemima Mount. Mount has no rise but I remember hiking on the back side (west) of Jemima Mount and seeing fence posts and old wire. That sounds like a good area to explore and I think I will do it in cooler weather.
