    Snake in the road

Yesterday I found this beauty in the middle of the road, about 18 inches. I wish I could have gotten better pictures but there were cars coming and we just made it. Am I really seeing diagonal stripes? What is it? We are seeing lots of turtles too. Red belly, spotted and box. Turkey Beard...

Last week I noticed work on Carranza Road to Friendship. Bull dozers, loader and comercial dump trucks with fill. At least it's compactable fill not sand which would just move again. Look! Up in the sky! Its a bird....

It's the stealthyness " sneakyness" of them, I don't care what they are called. I'll bet that they'll earn a new name once the public becomes aware.

    Just A Photo

I assume thats HDR in B&W. I've never tried that in HDR but I will now. My new point and shoot, Panasonic ZS20, has built in HDR but does not offer the effects of Photomatix.

    People of the Pines

Guy, is it Ryder or Rider? On the forums terrain map it is Riders Switch, in your thread Hampton Park History it is R&W, Rider, yet above it is Ryder. Also you posted a picture of the packing house and it was labeled "Clayberger& Goodrich Packing House Hampton Park 1946". Do you know who they...

    Snake ID

I tripped over this little guy this morning. It was about 6 inches long and as thick asd a pencil. I am having trouble with it as it might be really young. I was on my belly and it wouldn't hold still. Head closeup Thanks, Ed
