    Prescribed burns

As Ronald Regan would say, "here you go again". This appears to be a continuance of your whining of the "crossroads" fire a couple years ago. The Forest Service has to apply for permission and review from Pinelands, so maybe you should take your beef up with them. I suggested 2 years ago that...

    Natural Gas Pipeline

I thought this topic was about the pipeline, not political whining. I agree with Teegate and yes, I'm for the pipeline and no I would not derive any direct benefit from it. Do you think the Parkway could be built today? There needs to be preservation and there needs to be compromise. You claim...

    Dealing with Comcast

Bob I agree. I'm similar to you in that I have no premium TV package. I do have triple play. From the "come on" package of I think was $80 the first year then $110 2nd year, I'm now up to $170+ a month. I can drop the phone and go cell 100% like many now a days, but I won't save all that much...

    High Crossing never disappoints

Yep I know exactly where, just South of Long Causeway rd up that slight red clay rise. Every year as the "permafrost" thaws, I've seen many cars and 2wd trucks up to the frame. Have fun chipping that red concrete off. That would be a good spot to hide a game camera.

    High Crossing never disappoints

LOL, It appears many Russians drive with dash cams. I've seen accidents, reckless driving, motorcycles, pedrestians on Youtube that would take 10 years off your life. Someone asked a while back "what possess someone to attempt that?" My answer was "because it's there". Is there any doubt after...

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

I don't think it would hurt and now would be the time before the under brush greens up. Probably can swing over the FAA corner property across from his stand. Still thick woods but not as thick as the West and South side of the road. Taking a guess I'd say the FAA side has been pretty well...

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

Teegate Point taken, I understand. Manumuskin I poked around with the map and finally located the area. Surprised the map isn't up to date with Haines owning so much or should I say PICC. We're off subject now, but it was an educational detour.

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

Thanks, now if I can figure out how to use it. I see there's aerial photo's. I imagine you can print them out? I miss the Historical Aerials now that you can't print and they changed the zoom index feature that measures in feet.

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

What, no photo? Well I'm not going back just to see, but in the event I ever do for another reason and it's in warm weather I'll be cautious around there. Who's a bee keeper? There's some cardboard pictures stapled to a couple of the trees, [kids] I went up to look at them. May not have been the...

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

Yes that name came up and he may well be the owner, but so did Truex. Either way it is private property. The old gate has been replaced by Haines and unless you have a chainsaw, your not getting around it. Haines has given a friend a copy of his property in that area, plus he surveyed and blazed...

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

Yes it is all private property as soon as you venture off Red Rd and there is a camera [not saying where] that is checked on a regular basis. Just curious, are the bees in one of the large trees in the field near the large trailer by the dock? As for the hunter stand. The property in that area...

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

If the locals are using it then they have a key for the gate from Haines. Although I checked the place out a number of years ago during the summer I didn't snoop long as I seen evidence of recent truck traffic. I was there about a month ago checking Haines property [with permission] and I...

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

Didn't realize his stand is near the turn of the road. Is the stand on the FAA property or the Plains branch side? Those are pretty big trees for that area. If he's in there and on the Plans branch side he may never be found. The road is a mud boggers playground, do not under any circumstances...

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

Just to recoupe, wasn't his truck and dog found on the West side FAA property boundary road South side of Beaver Dam rd, adjacent to the WMES gun club property?

Pine Barrens community, nonprofit at odds over use of land

Bob, as mentioned it's pointless to continue and I'm finished. I don't claim to be a Piney, just a native of the area. It just so happens I had enough of your bashing, FFS, posting time line photo's of then and now of cranberry farms and now the mayor of Chatsworth. For the record I don't know...

Pine Barrens community, nonprofit at odds over use of land

Bob, this is all off topic and is pointless to continue. I just notice how you take glee in posting pictures from 1930 to present showing changes. Point of fact, look at Bamber then and now, I don't see you complaining. I'm not affiliated with the FFS and don't know as much as I'd like but think...

Pine Barrens community, nonprofit at odds over use of land

Bob, Your on record as being anti Forest Service and anti cranberry farm. Both, cranberry farming in particular have existed long before you happened along. The Pine barrens seemed to survive just fine despite when they were really raped and pillaged in the 1800 & 1900's. My comment is just to...

Pine Barrens community, nonprofit at odds over use of land

I can't speak for all, but the 2 farmers mentioned DO allow an enduro club access to their property year round and ask if anything is seen out of the ordinary to contact them. Hunters do build shacks in the trees and on the ground and some do use quads with no issue. Do people tresspass, of...

Pine Barrens community, nonprofit at odds over use of land

Yes they post but allow the activities if asked. I am just asking when you "entered" the area as for creditability. Being born and raised in the area I remember Bamber as it was in the '60's.

Pine Barrens community, nonprofit at odds over use of land

Well Bob as a matter of fact both land owners DO allow hunting and enduro riding on their property. All they ask is you ask them first and stay away from their active farming operations. Both these farmers don't lock their uplands from the public. Your from Bamber Lake, right? When did you move...
