Thanks, Boyd. :) This is our new place. It is private and wooded, has five acres, a heated workshop, a pond AND river frontage. (yes, it has both). We got it for 230. I can still hardly believe it...

We got about a half inch here in lovely Trenton, just started to coat the roads before it passed. There are still a few white lawns and rooftops this morning. Nice day! :) Here's what it looks like from my front window just now:

Geranium oil isn't going to cut it for ticks. They're tough! Sorry to hear your dog had RMSF. How did that work out? It is a really awful disease.

Interesting. Do you have any other beasts in the house? Cats? Have you applied the ProMeris yet? It works great! But I *might* be just a BIT biased about that... :) It will certainly take care of your flea problem.
