    Tick`s & Chigger`s

There have been reports of fleas becoming resistant to Frontline. Did you see actual fleas or flea dirt, or did you just observe extra itchiness? You might want to try something else. K-9 Advantix or ProMeris are different chemistry than Frontline and both work very well for fleas and ticks...

Oh my goodness, those are AMAZING. I had to do some macro photography and video of fleas and ticks recently, I would totally have contacted this guy.

    Tick`s & Chigger`s

Once you know you have chiggers, though, the actual chigger is gone. All that remains is the itchy bite.

    Tick Diseases & Babesiosis

Whoa. RMSF AND babesia? That's quite the double whammy right there. RMSF is a very dangerous disease and has a high mortality rate. How is she doing now? A coworker's son was diagnosed with babesiosis this summer, he thinks he got the tick bite while in Mercer County Park. It's almost...

    Another winter forecast says....

Winter rules! I am moving to a white/gray zone in southwestern MI. I may be good and sick of snow by March but I don't think so. The snow is a plus as far as the move is concerned.

Is email on the way out??

We had something like that at work 15 years ago. We had a choice between that and regular email when communicating inside the company, and nobody liked it or ever used it.

Nah, that's just dirt. We need to vacuum this place! How embarrassing. :) The new rig is about 10x lighter, and the new camera is the gold standard for kite photography. MAN is it good for the job, especially with that lens. What a difference. I don't think they're even in production anymore...

Thanks, I will. :) I am a bit apprehensive about moving, but it's nice to stay employed! It tends to keep us from eating out of dumpsters.

Actually, that's the old rig and camera, we have a new setup now. Joe just took it out and assembled it just for you guys. Here's the rig and new camera with the wide angle lens And here is one of our kites. This one is huge and strong, so we have three of these in...

We were talking about that. What Piney sites do you guys think would be good for this kind of photography? We were thinking Friendship would be cool, but I can't really think of any other sites that are open enough. You need a lot of open space to launch the kite because it's so big.

Oh, Guy, the making of the contraption was ALL Joe. I am just a bystander and kite flyer. He is the technical geek of the pair, that is for sure. I can't even figure how to turn the remote thingy on. Whitesbog is such a nice spot for a sunny afternoon. It would be really cool to get some...

It was a beautiful Sunday today. My husband Joe and I drove down despite the light winds. We almost didn't bother, but I am glad we did. We got some nice shots. We still have to fiddle with the camera settings, (it's new to us), so some of them aren't the right exposure, but some turned out...
