    Paper Wasps

Here's the one I took out with the two-fisted spray can method. It was the bedroom window of the camper. It literally came out of nowhere. My wife videoed the action and I have to find that.

    Paper Wasps

I took out a bald faced nest a few years ago. I had 3 cans of hornet spray. I put a can of hornet spray in each hand and stood about 10' away and went until both cans were empty. The third can was used for stragglers later that day. The nest was huge and was built in only two weeks under the...

Two deer with one shot: She's a 101-year-old hunter and she's still going strong

That's awesome. I hope to be hunting deer and fishing until I fall over too. Perhaps I won't be hunting alone when I do fall over now that I have a new hunting partner too. My wife just started hunting this year at 58. I bought her a 12 gauge 870 4 years ago and up until now she has only shot...

What makes these tracks in the frozen lake?

Look around the banks for otter slides and "otter toilets. " They slide in and out of the water seemingly because it's fun and it probably is. The otter toilet is where they frequently defecate and the scat will be loaded with fish scales. Even a pile of fish scales shows where they have been...

What makes these tracks in the frozen lake?

I'm thinking otter or beaver but there is too much slush pushed around. I think 46er may be on the right path. After cracking and with the light snow on top, maybe it formed a slushy border along the crack ???

I went back to one of the study locations today closest to where I found the bag and the codes on the flagging were not similar to those on the bag. Hmmmmm ???

    What is This Thing ?

There are some research points in my stretch of Wharton right now with flagging and codes written on the flagging. There is one within 200 yards of my house. I will check codes to see if they look like what is handwritten on the bag

    What is This Thing ?

Interior is reflective so it is likely intended to insulate. More handles than a normal cooler bag but if it was even filled half way it would be incredibly heavy, like 350 lbs if it were pure water. Mysterious that it has QR codes in three places but no other info.

    What is This Thing ?

I found this bag the other day in the woods near my home. It collapses to a flat panel and opens to a 24" high x 24' x 18" bag with multiple heavy duty hand loops. Each panel zips at the top for insertion of a rigid panel. It is very well made and has three QR codes on it. I checked multiple...

    Beaver in the Delaware River

One of two 330's that I found along The Albertson. I have tried 3 times to fix this but the photos need to be rotated clockwise. The first one 180 degrees and the second one 90 degrees. They are correct in my photo folder on my desktop but when I select them here they come in twisted. ??????

    Beaver in the Delaware River

Pretty lame beaver "attack". Found a couple of 330 Conibears set in the bogs out front last week. I really gotta keep an eye on the dog with those in the water. I hope whoever set them gets a few beaver. We're overrun back here.

    Quack, quack

Thanks Al ! Hunters support NJ outdoors by way of funding habitat purchases and wildlife management that benefit all outdoorspeople (Is that a word ?) through our license and our somewhat staggering permit fees. It also seems to me that many people have no idea what the Pittman-Robertson Act...
