Arrogance and hubris. I have met few people who have both an honest respect for animals, and a real love for people. Very sad.

I saw this movie recently. It's not too bad compared to some of the horror films that have come out in the past 10 years. They do use the name Wharton State Forest as the location in the movie, but as stated above, it's unfortunately not shot in our Pine Barrens.

Not related, but almost as funny. I know of a case where a guy was so drunk that he couldn't find his car, and he called and reported it stolen. Apparently it's an old urban legend that people do it, but in this case it was apparently true.

My wife and I saw one, we surprised it by walking up on it. It was no more than 10 feet away when it noticed us and ran and hid behind a tree. I couldn't believe how fast that thing ran. What's the story in this case? Was the bear going after them, or was it going after food they had, etc?
