    Fries Mill

By the railroad tracks? That's where I parked the first time.

    Fries Mill

I'm in Camden County (don't hold it against me :) ) Not sure where you meet for these trips, but I'm 45 minutes from the Schooner Landing Road exit on 55.

    Odd impression

Tough to judge without a size comparison, but I'd agree on turkey, the third toe is up against the wall of the mudhole and the rear toe is lost in the puddle.

    Fries Mill

If y'all meet there, let me know. I explored a little, but want to get back there.

Atco Dragway to permanently close after 63 years in NJ, all remaining events for 2023 canceled

Supposedly it's been sold to an auto auction company that will use the land for auctions or a salvage yard.

I'm gonna shorten it to @ from now on :)

    Around Wharton Today

I didn't know we had night hawks. Makes sense, there are plenty of skeeters for them to eat.

I bet that trailer queen Jeep could fund a new statue.

Attorney General targets illegal off-road vehicles

I saw Sheriffs at Forked River today, waiting by a pickup with a closed trailer. We weren't sure if they were waiting for the riders to return to ticket them to but it looked like it. Saw dirt bikes and ATVs too.

    Black Run Preserve Vehicle Damage

Thanks for this warning. I never leave anything visible in my vehicle. I noticed a truck using the dirt access road between Bortons and Kettle Run. I assumed they were using it to access Bortons Road, but they might have been looking at the parked cars, and kept going because I was there. They...

    All-Terrain Vehicle Problem

I've used this analogy before, but 25 years ago there weren't mountain biking trails in north NJ. We hikers hated the MTB people for using our trails. They would use them anyway, and yell "move!" when they saw hikers... some of us carried hiking poles in case someone tried to hit us. I was angry...

    All-Terrain Vehicle Problem

I had no idea it was a private park with a fee. Would you pay to kayak or bird watch at a place that's next door to Wharton where you can get the milk for free? It makes sense now. I thought they put aside land for ATV use. If they put up a use at your own risk sign on an existing sand pit...

    All-Terrain Vehicle Problem

I thought Mad Max was how you all described the situation *now*, so what is the problem with containing it?

    Shoreline Challenge

I can sympathize and shake my head at the same time, but hearing one person after another act surprised, when sea level rise has been warned about since I was a teenager, is difficult to comprehend.

    Red Flag Warning

It is dry as a bone. I was showing a friend Batsto Lake and taking Constable Bridge, Mullica River, and Batsto Lake road and the washouts are all dry to the bottom. Be careful out there.

Derelict Houses on Indian Cabin Road, Egg Harbor City, NJ

Yeah, the question is why go back there at night? In north NJ the "crazy road" is Clinton Road, which is mostly dangerous because the 35mph speed limit is way too high for a very curvy unlit woods road at night. But so many kids started going there and telling tales of seeing Klansmen on...

Derelict Houses on Indian Cabin Road, Egg Harbor City, NJ

I was talking to an old timer at the shooting range, and he mentioned getting stopped on this road while dirt biking in the '90s, by three men with shotguns. So I searched the forum to see what exists out there. My curiosity will remain unsatisfied...
