    Popcorn Park Zoo

I used to shear the sheep there, years ago. They gave us a tour afterward that was always awesome. I learned that deer, when tame, will never stop licking you, ever. Gah.

    Another cougar sighting

Hey! Me too! Coincidence? I think not.

    Another cougar sighting

Well, it IS Wildwood, after all. :)

    Another Snake I.D Thread

The middle two look like an Eastern Hognose. I am not a herpetologist, nor do I play one on TV. Or. Something.

    The Mullica

I saw the www.njpinebarrens.com sticker on the back of his truck. Funny though, when we saw him the first time, I thought he looked familiar. :)

    The Mullica

It is, indeed, a small world. :) It was a loverly day to paddle on the river. We paused at the little beach right where Joe and I first ran into you, Steve, and took a nice long swim. The water is heavenly. We had a helluva time getting back up the dams after we last saw you at your truck...

Ever run into the "trouble" in the pines?

We caught some kids doing some illegal camping. They came out of their nest and pretty much surrounded us while we were looking for a geocache. I was rattled at first, but when they realized we weren't cops, they just gabbed a little with us and wandered back to their camp. We ran into some...

    Corzine won't veto Pinelands project

That makes me sick to my stomach. Where is this development supposed to take place?

    Chigged.

That is absolutely true. I wish, as a bug scientist, that we knew exactly what it was. We have been able to identify certain attractants, but why some people are more attractive to bloodfeeding or biting insects and arachnids is still largely a mystery. Little ****ers. :jeffd:

    Chigged.

Chiggers are da debbil. Nothing I have taken will help except oral Benadryl (the topical kind seems worthless), and Benadryl turns me into a bobblehead zombie for three days. So I itch. :(

    flooding

The Delaware river is about to crest, but it has not yet. It will be just a couple of inches short of the flood of April 2005, which was absolutely devastating. (I basically lost my house in it). Locks and bridges were rebuilt, house remodeled, lives only just put back together. :(

    flooding

It's just a nightmare up here on the Delaware. :(

This isn't really about archaeology at all.

You didn't answer the question. Do you sell straw? :)

    Daughter's first on river

Largo, did we see you on the river? We were there Saturday, too, at and above Beaver Pond. We encountered many fellow paddlers on our way up the river. (against the current). :)

No me gusta bistec con queso. Soy extraño. ¡Aunque yo comeré sus cebollas fritas!

Any chance it was just a really big, hairy guy?
