They should restrict the number of canoes they can drop off in an hour. If they fix up the Mullica and the Batsto, they'll be a mess too. It's better to keep them primitive.
Barely, if at all. I never noticed the tide much untill I got to the Forks. It's not a problem paddeling this stretch when the tide is coming in, just get out of the channel and it's easy going.
It appears that the wood is only supporting the wall at the waters edge, but I really couldn't see more.
The side I posted pictures of is on state land, the other is private and in a much worse state.
On Friday we took our third paddle on the Mullica this year from the canoe landing just above Batsto to Crawleys Landing. It's always a facinating trip, be it nature or observing what humans have done to their side of the river.

Thunking
We were walking near High Crossing this morning and could hear the thunking of the pile drivers working at the Friendship bridge. It was fun to let my imagination go and imagine it was the sound of a forge echoing through the forest.
Just one of the beautiful little things I find every day at this time of year. I almost bored you with my avi of a dung beetle with it's prize, but I didn't get a close up enough for it to be seen well.

No, I have one, a hybrid, but it is uncomfortable for me to ride. My body dosen't like being leaned forward and even with a gel seat, putting your weight on you prostate just dosen't feel good. I'll sitck to horses.
Wow, that's really going to be a change. Did you get any acherage, hows the taxes? I have a friend that moved out by Scranton, but in the hills, when he retired from teaching at 57. He says they don't tax pension income in Penna.
