    Wolf in Voorhees

Thanks for posting Andrew. It is easy to get an idea of the size of that animal from the comparison to your lab. One big wolf dog. I'm glad the whole thing had a happy ending. Is there any idea as to the origins of this dog? Where it came from? Jeff

A morning stroll through Friendship Bogs

I would be very skeptical of wolves in the pine barrens. Perhaps what you saw was a coydog. The eastern coyote is large but not anywhere near the 150lb mark. That would be large (but possible) even for a wolf. Also, increases in coyote populations almost never occur at the same time as...

    What made this trail?

I can't say for certain, but I think otter occasionally slide on ice and snow (on their bellies). Although, I think this is usually when going down hill. I just say this because I've seen them do this on nature programs. I've never witnessed it. Jeff

    What made this trail?

Interesting. The process of elimination would have me thinking otter. Are there paw prints near the slide marks? The pic is a little too far away to tell. Scott might know, he is always tracking down some furry critter. Jeff

    Cool, Dead Stuff

Nice report Scott. I too have a collection. Mostly skulls. My wife makes me keep them in the garage though. I guess they freak her out a little. Especially the human ones.....

    Rt. 70 Road Trip

Nice pics Ben. When I used to live along route 70 (a short time ago) I would drive from Mt. Misery to Medford every day and many of those sites are plastered in my brain. Unfortunitely, I also saw Tranquility Ridge and The Grand develope along that stretch. Jeff

Small Tavern/Restaurant looking for skilled Bartender (Chatsworth, NJ)

You should be ashamed of yourself for making such a comment Scott. After all, the toothbrush was invented in Chatsworth!! Yeah, otherwise they would have called it a teethbrush!!

    river walks

So when your talking of floating, are you referring to an inner tube type deal? Or are you swim/floating down the river and wading where needed. I would like to do a very remote area of the batsto near my house but there are too many blowdowns (and not enough water) for a kayak. And the banks...

    Oswego River Preserve

I was driving past Chatsworth lake and caught a quick glimpse of something moving about out there. I had the same thought...Loch Chatsworth Monster. Pancoast, did it make a verticle looping motion when it swam? That is a common trait of an otter. Either way, it looks like an otter. Nice...

    Wolf in Voorhees

I don't know if anybody else caught ABC news at 11:00 tonight but they had a story on a "wolf" that has been seen in a field in Voorhees. Experts believe it is a wolf hybrid. From the pictures they showed it looks very large, but it is hard to put it in perspective. Apparently it is living in...

    Possible Sighting!

I knew that. I wasn't thinking. Thanks for the correction. Sue, Nice beaver pics. When I come across them in the deep woods they are consistantly shy. But I have purposely gone looking for them, at dusk when they are active, and found if I stayed perfectly still they would hardly notice...
