    West Plains Waltz

Inspired by Bob and Steve's excursion and wanting to investigate some areas I have been meaning to look into, I got into the west plains very early this morning I wanted to get into some very deep areas far from even the most unused trails. As you can see it was REAL thick I headed...

    1950's campground

Just kind of a random thought here, but could the powerline towers off of burnt tavern road factor into this? Or are they the toweres you are referring to. I haven't been out that way in a while. Jeff

    Apple Pie Hill

Very interesting. However, something to consider...the club house might have been used during the sanitarium and was later converted to the club house after golfview manor took possession of the property. Could also be that club house refers to it being a hunting club, but I see the conclusion...

Interesting reflections, Ebsi. It makes me even more curious as to what town you grew up in? I didn't get that question answered in the last post. I'm going to guess.....Mullica Twp, maybe near Elwood. Jeff Btw, what is with all the advertising?:)

    Greenwood Jaunt

Bob, those ponds near 539...very cool huh? That is where I saw all those newborn toads that time. I recall that you and I had a discussion concerning the origins of those ponds. I suspect they were natural but where damed up to serve as a reservior for the bogs on the other side of 539. Jeff

I think I posted a picture of that sign a few months ago. But I could be mistaken. I know I took a picture of it but I can't find it now. I might have deleted it 'cause it was not legible. Anyway. I remember thinking the sign was out of place out there, especially because it is in an area...

    Goshen in Camden or Burlington?

I always associate the term "developement" with the suburban subdivisions that have been popular since the 50's. I didn't relize the term extended so far back. Was it still used in the same context...residential housing? jeff

TV: Survivorman versus Man V Wild

They ought to film it in the late summer and see how they deal with the chiggers:) I have been watching "I shouldn't be alive" on Discovery. Did you see that. The one with the guy in the plane crash in the african wild, or the mountain climbers. Good show. I saw the promo for man vs wild...

Or I could just go into the woods behind my house & get the wild ones:) Good article though! Thanks for posting. I think the article might slightly understate the need for moisture but what do I know. Jeff
