Am I missing something here? What difference does it make where the meeting is? Does this mean that a disscussion/meeting concerning the atlantic ocean should only take place on a boat? I don't get it.
Anyway, I think they should have the meeting at lower forge campground.

Did you see that map? It is amazing how much federal forests are in the pacific NW up and into Alaska. I really got to get there before I die. A good ruling!! I don't know how that effects a federal reserve or bioshere as in our case.

If you drove past and saw the silohette of someone just sitting in their car you would probably think nothing of it. I am surprised that the rangers didn't invistigate after seeing the vehicle there for weeks on end. Maybe it was hidden in the woods. I bet it didn't smell much till the door...
I often see fox dens on the burms of enduro trails. I must admit, I thought it seemed large also but it does look alot like the dens on that other site. Incidently, I think I know where those picures of dens on that site where taken. I will check it out and give you and idea of how wide those...
yeah, the old pavement is still there, but as mentioned is mostly under dirt, I don't know if the dirt was deliberately laid on top of it or it is a natural build up. I always assumed that it was nature reclaiming the road again, as it always does in the pines.
I'm thinking that is would probably be where Whites Bog meets Range road. I have been fishing in there fairly recently, probably around the same time he dissappeared. I remember seeing a few trucks/cars parked when I was in there. It is not that secluded. I bet people drove past and saw there...
By the way, I met a hunter today, older guy, seems early, must have been checking his stands. Anyway, he said that tinaction (the athletes foot stuff) keeps chiggers from itching. I never tried that. He uses permathrin.

I was on the motorcycle. I was headed down an enduro trail that appeared fairly free of vegatation on either side. I came around a bend and leather leaf was very dense on either side of the trail. The passage through was maybe 6 inches so I really brushed up in the leather leaf. All the way up...
That sounds interesting Marian. It would be nice to have our Devil included in what appears to be an artistic and serious project. The best candidate for this project would certainly be a Jersey Pine barrens native, a piney, as their accounts of the Devil are far more credible than the typical...
Nice, well written report Largo!! Glad you had a chance to get out there and spend some time alone. There is alot to be said for alone time in the pines.

well, I am always happy to see land preserved but isn't 2.4 million alot for a 158 acre easement? Maybe not. Property values in that area are very high. They'd have to sell a lot of cookies to make that sort of $.
