    Snake!!!!

The meanest snakes I know of are Black racers and Northern Water snakes.Did meet one vicious pine snake once and it wasn't a bluffer,it did bite repeatedly. One of the mellowest species I"ve ever caught is surprisingly Timber Rattlers.all in all a very mild snake that just wants to be left alone.

hey felt hollow. No weight at all.Nothing jiggled inside them. The shell was hard and hairy.I tried to break them by squeezing them, too hard.I had no hammer or rock to split them on.

Exploring Along The Wesickaman Creek Near Atsion

There is an acorn cap lying in the middle of the close up but it has just fell there. Those are definitely not acorns,at least not from any native oak.The adjacent farm may have horse/livestock?Could it be leftover husks from something they are eating?

Exploring Along The Wesickaman Creek Near Atsion

Yes I'd really like to know what those nuts were. There were literally tons of them piled up in hills and it looked like there had been more but some were taken. I'd say some of the most dangerous or at least scary bushwacking is done on wet weak ice.It was too strong to stomp through but when...

    Jersey Devil

I use to scare the crap out of folks all the time at Menantico WMA back in the 80's and early 90's. All you have to do is hide in the woods around a beer party and wait till they get drunk and then start making some scary noises.I had quite a collection of them. Now occasionally you will get a...

I know coyotes like to run ridges where the updraft brings smells to em and they usually have better viewing.Perhaps Buddy liked the ridge for the same reasons?

I have found snares in the woods, never have found leg holds which are illegal now or connibears.I hope I see the tag before I step.I do not handle pain well.It would definitely be a last catch for that trap.
