Yes, the fog sure put a damper on my hopes for seeing the sunrise this morning. Yesterday's was spectacular and I was hoping for a repeat. I will have to post those here as well.

Cool photos! I would also associate seeing the halo with winter. I think it usually happens due to ice crystals rather than water droplets. I got a shot of it as well: This was not taken in the pines, though. I was up in coastal Maine last week. It was exceptionally clear out that night.

I actually just watched this yesterday. I guess it's making the rounds through the recommendation algorithm. Neat video, the sound editing adds a lot to it. The guy at the beginning wearing a full suit at the beach in Florida - just wow. Hard to imagine such a time.

Looks like they're getting it well under control. When this is all finished, maybe it will open some opportunities for exploration back there.
