It is. In fact somebody just re-blazed the old section of the Batona Trail near Bass River. You won't see many people on the Batona Trail. I would say 50% of the time I hike it I don't pass another person.

The Hammonton Library has a small conference room they allow the public to use for meetings. It should hold 50 people. If they have the budget for it they could hire a company to set up a big tent somewhere in the pines that could hold 50 people.

This is a good time of the year to hike the Cranberry Trail because in about eight weeks there will be so many deer flies on that trail you might get picked up and carried away. ;)
