Does anyone know of a local museum that would like a chunk of the Berlin Wall?

    I Used to Know That

Pats! Thank you. Not being able to remember that was driving me to distraction and kept me up for a while. Our family always stopped there for lunch on the way to the shore. It was a long, hot drive between NEPA and LBI in August.

    I Used to Know That

OK, more recently it was called Joe Bell's. I'm looking for the name before that.

    I Used to Know That

What the heck was the name of the bar on Rt. 72 just off of four mile circle? The building is still there--the small place with the white asbestos siding--but it used to have a different name.

    Allergies?

Are you taking them daily? I used to go to an allergist. He told me that you've got to take the medication, pills, for a few days before you'll really see some sort of result. If you're in real misery, take a Benadryl.

NJ Forest Fire Impacts 30 Acres

I just read about this in another forum. Some guy up in Middlesex was commenting about air quality. While it was very windy yesterday, it's also been very wet. I'm sort of surprised that this happened now.

    Heart of the Pines

Oh, no, that's terrible. At least I didn't pull out with the baby - in a carrier/car seat - perched on the roof rack of the car.

    Heart of the Pines

Three hundred dollars is an absurd amount to ask for the book. I wish that I knew how many signed copies there were; it would give me a better idea of how to price it. I'm not sure where to sell this online. I really hate the thought of dealing with eBay. Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Heart of the Pines

Thanks. I saw one online for $145 and thought that was about as much as I might expect. I guess that I'll trot this out to a couple of other sites in a couple of days.

    Heart of the Pines

Heart of the Pines, John E. Pearce, second printing, revised edition, signed by author. I bought it at Busby's a while back. It's not pristine, but in very good condition. I can't put a price on it (sigh, how do you price that book) but I'll accept any reasonable offer.

    Don't mess with this cat....

That reminds me of my son's cat. When we took her to the vet, it took two attendants with catch poles 15 minutes to get her back into the pet carrier. She broke a glass container and drew blood from the vet tech. Thankfully, she's not as big as that one.
