PBJ, When you say "digging" I hope you don't mean literally digging. To answer your questioin, cellar holes are depresions in the ground. Sometimes there are reminants of a foundation wall still intact. Sometimes there is only some debris remaining. Sometimes there is no foundation or debris...

I think you mean Catbird. They are a bird, black in color, that are related to Mocking Birds. Steve

Al, It was Peterson's field guide that said they are uncommon. Are you sure it is whip-poor-wills you are seeing at night? The night hawk, which is native to the Pines is closely related and look simular to a whip-poor-will. They have different wings and tail but the markings are simular. Steve

Whip-poor-wills are gound birds so if you were looking I hope you were looking low.

Ron, They are found in the Pines as part of their summer range but they are "uncommon". From Peterson's field guide: "At night, a rolling, tiresomely repeated "whip' poor Weel' " or " pur' ple rib' ", etc. accent on first and last syllables." Steve

Went through a big arse mud puddle and killed the alternator. Happened to four others with me on a FunRun in PA. Just got back from the Pep Boys in Reading where I had it fixed. Cost me $446.02 plus $40.00 towing. :( Of the other four that broke down, one was from Brooklyn and one was from...

I've never had Poison Ivy so I don't know which is worse but I know Chiggers are the worst thing I've ever experienced.
