    Where is this?

Where’s this? Photo was taken about 2013 so I think the bridge has been replaced since. Hints are that it is south near my stomping grounds and the biggest hint is that it was a place of local prominence up until mid 1800s. It is an avenue on historic maps

    Jones Mill on Muskee Creek

Below are two news stories covered decades apart. Apparently 150 years after old Abe was buried at his mill, rumor got around of valuables being buried with him resulting in grave robbers digging him up a few times. 1932 article...

    Jones Mill on Muskee Creek

I was researching the area of Jones Mill once located on Muskee Creek near Manumuskin. It was a sawmill (or 2 as listed in this link) owned by Abraham Jones (1714-1786) Found this list from 1773 on State of NJ website. I will add more to this thread about the area of Jones mill and Abraham’s...

    Snake

They always catch me by surprise when I think it’s just a wire laying there. 2nd time a black snake tricked me at an electrical box. I’m sure Al would have picked it right up

    Where is this?

    Fries Mill

Interesting I heard the state wanted to buy the rest of the conservancy land maybe it’s part of the deal. I saw new yellow test pipes in this area https://boydsmaps.com/#17.51/39.344262/-74.970726/pines2020a/0.00/0.00 and the blue Mopar car that was there is gone

You’re really making me want to take a venture out there. I’ve been wanting to get a duplicate photo of the one I posted a while back and curious to see if the trees in the photo are still there

Post Your Old Car Finds Here

Here is a mopar I came across at the very edge of one of the lakes in former NJ Silica Sand Co property (now nature conservancy). It has since been removed in the last few months. Pretty sure it is a Plymouth Valiant I would guess early 70s

A cool story about a cool car

A thread where we could post abandoned vehicles found in the pines would be cool. I haven’t found (or at least taken pictures) of any worth making one
