At this time of year I've haven't seen the woods this dry along with vernal pools in probably 10 years. Vernal pools that are normally full until July are bone dry. We really need some rain soon.

Does anyone know if they are developing that property or have plans to? Heard some grumblings about this, wonder if its just rumor......manumuskin and I are nervous...thx.

Up where I work on the Millstone River there has been like 10-20 Great Blue Herons standing on the ice at the edge of the frozen/non frozen areas. They have been there this whole week. Also there has been a couple bald eagles perched on branches there as well. I've never seen this many herons...

Saw a freshly hit yote on route 70 about a mile west of old red lion road. The girl a few cars down hit it by accident and was waiting for the state police(not sure why).......I was shocked by it size, it was a good size animal 40+ pounds. First time I ever saw one dead on the road in the pines.
