Religious experience in the Pine's anyone?

Not at all. I am not a religious person, and I think you've put it perfectly. :)

    Chiggers, Gunning River, BL?

Ah, clumps. I have been looking for them individually. I think I need to spend more time down in the pines--you know, more research. :)

    Chiggers, Gunning River, BL?

Arrrrrrgh! Lookit all those ticks! They mainly look like lone star ticks, the primary vector for ehrlichiosis. Little bastards, they are, and they are ALL OVER the pines. So...just to be picky, are you surrrrrrrre those little ones are chiggers? Larval ticks can be even smaller than those...

    Chiggers, Gunning River, BL?

The best way to avoid chigger bites is to take a quick shower when you get home from your piney adventures. We have a back brush hanging in the shower that we use to thoroughly scrub our legs and around the belt area (they seem to like that area too) with soap and that easily dislodges any of...

    Needles

I generate medical waste myself. We have to pay a service to pick it up and incinerate it. It's not cheap! I suspect this may be why we are seeing it in the ocean.

    Is this fast food?

I bet people are lining up to eat them. I find it hard to believe that only has 1000 calories! I'd have guessed 2500. Four patties? Come ON! I get nauseous just looking at it.

Where can I find water levels online?

It completely depends on the body of water, and whether it's a tidal stream or not. Every stream is different. The USGS website has all sorts of statistics, including averages and highs/lows.

Where can I find water levels online?

Having had a house on the Delaware that was forever in mortal peril of being carried off, rely on the USGS website: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/

    New Kayak

There is room in my heart and my life for both canoe and kayak. I have always had both, and I prefer to use the canoe when I am going out solo. I also turn it around and sit in the bow. Well, I say I do, but it's been about 6 years since I've taken it out alone, and I don't see using it again...

    Bigfoot....

You do have a point. :)

    Pigs.....

That's bad. They are very destructive and will probably outcompete several species. They are a real problem in more southern climates like Texas. Not a surprise that they are around. Pigs are very adaptable, kinda like people. They will probably be successful in NJ unless aggressively controlled.

    Bigfoot....

While that discovery was fantastic, it was not a new species. Those were Western lowland gorillas.

    Bigfoot....

    Now that's just sick.

That looks like a gorilla suit that's been left out in the rain.
