Yeah that’s what I thought it seemed like much of the private land was burned. I was a little off course on my bike but I thought I was miller property and not wharton. They did burn well back along the power lines and it looks cleared out a bit. Was very overgrown back there.

You had to go further west down the tracks, another .5-1 mile I’d say if you were at pinecrest.

Really is highly unusual. Box turtles are usually down once they hibernate and don’t become active until late March/early April. They may move around within a leaf pile or whatever they hibernate in but it’s very odd to see them moving across roads or across a forest.

Very bizzare for that little box turtle to be moving. Likely was laid on side of road an hibernated in its nest. Rains and Wednesday warm weather must have brought it up. Still very weird though.

Both situations someone briefly left there car/atv to check something and didn’t seem to return. Very odd

This reminds me of the hunter that went missing in a similar area. Items that you think they would take left at the car/atv. Becoming very disturbing.

Also the timber sheds will clearly have chevrons on it, you can’t miss them. Pines will have circles but usually very dirty looking. Corns will have distinct 0 on them and kings you will see the horizontal lines.

Timbers get a bit beat up out in the pines, but that one is ok. Glad we didn’t completely waste your time Guy.

Menantico has been getting abused for years. Kinda crazy they would shut it all down but not suprised.
