    Definition of a Piney

Ahh the Memories. I could change the names of the locations to fit my memories. Might have been a dollar in my pocket though:). I'm working on creating similar ones for my kids. To this day my 9 year old daughter will only eat blueberries from that we get from the woods. The looks I get, when...

Is the water from artesian wells safe to drink?

In today's sue happy society you will be hard pressed find anyone that will say you're 100% safe to drink from any artesian well. With that said I drank my fair share from them. Growing up we had a boat in Barnegat and we filled old milk jugs and used it solely for drinking, with no ill effects...

    Definition of a Piney

I figured I'd bring this back up, especially in light of the recent events. I could be wrong but I can't escape the feeling that, the perception of a piney is still a negative one. While sitting at these town meetings there seems to be a definite judgement made on everyone who walks through the...

    Atco place crash

I'm being told he was from Evesham in the hopewell area I'm not posting his name. My mom just called and was a friend of a friend. A very experienced pilot I'm told. Either way, if my car breaks down I wind up on the side of the road. If you're in a plane, well it's kind of hard to pull over.

    Drought conditions

You know it's been dry out. Even the frogs are thirsty:D. I had to rush home and evict this fellow. Hopefully he's not like his friend that lives in my grill and keeps coming back;)

    Woodmansie Wildfire.

This is a perfect opportunity with all the added exposure for the FFS and DEP to implement the rehab program that should now be in place to keep new roads from forming after a fire:rolleyes: I'm not sure if any new roads were made or sensitive areas exposed. I personally wouldn't have any...

    Drought conditions

I was going to mention 1997. I thought it was worse the 2002 but I'm only going by memory. Either way it's getting bad out there now. I hate to say it but we need a tropical system to come up the coast.

I whole heartily agree. There are definitely problem areas. None of those in that area fit that description.

While I agree with you this road is not needed. It has been there longer then 10 years. In 2008 the forest fire cleared it out and it has more traffic both of which makes it more visable. It can be easily seen in the 1963 aerial and even earlier.

I was out there Monday as well. I was going there but at the last minute decided to head down high crossing road just to see how dry it is.

Approximately 80 acres are envolved near the Clayton Pit. Haven't heard much more yet. Conditions are very dry out there.
